Macro Data Releases Week of Dec 6
- Monday –Quiet
- Tuesday – Biden – Putin Conf. Call. ; International Trade, Productivity; Redbook
- Wednesday – Mortgage applications; JOLTs, oil inventory, 10 yr Bond Auction 1pm
- Thursday – Jobless Claims, wholesale inventory NatGas inv, 30 yr bond auction
- Friday – CPI, Consumer Sentiment, Treasury Statement, Rig Count
Pre-Powell Turbulence
The Market has seen some turbulence ahead of the CPI print today and larger picture the FOMC policy decision next Wednesday at 2pm. As I explain in today’s video with quite a bit of detail, I believe market conditions are changing from easy ( get long w/ FOMC liquidity ) to hard / choppy ( Fed liquidity withdrawal ). So traders need to re-orient from auto pilot buy the dip to a more measured approach with more 2 way action. I think the Ponzi trade is over. Ponzi = high valuation; no earnings. Then by definition bearish ARK and bubble names, but more bullish quality names with solid earnings support.
